A true pioneer. Born in Lithuania during the Soviet era, Matas co-founded EXEM, one of the first house and techno acts coming out of Lithuania’s early independence years. It earned a cult following across the country and the continent throughout the 90s.
Now based in Berlin, he is the founder of Dange Records, a label releasing music from Lithuania and beyond, and the author of The Joy of Electronic Music. A member of the SoundCloud founding team, his sets move between the deeper shades techno with a splash of house. Expect ho hear rare finds that only decades of devoted digging can produce.
