Berlin-based Mary Yuzovskaya has her language through the subtleties of techno: precise mixing, deep selection, and an unhurried storytelling sense that lets the room sink further in rather than rush forward.
Her route runs through the culture itself. An early Berlin chapter shaped her reputation as a vinyl-only DJ, while her move to New York in 2013 brought years of residencies, including a three-year run at Unter, where that patient and exact sound found a wider floor.
Away from the booth, her time as vinyl distribution manager at Brooklyn record shop Halcyon became the stepping stone for Monday Off, her vinyl-only imprint devoted to what she calls psychedelic techno.
Since 2017, the label has carried music from some of the sound’s most forward-thinking and out-of-the-ordinary artists.
